50th Annual Proviso West Holiday Tournament: Let the Show Begin

 Christmas is just around the corner and you know what that means. The Proviso West Holiday Tournament is soon to begin.  But this year is not just the typical P-Dub Tournament that has become a staple in Chicagoland and Illinois hoops.  This year marks the 50th anniversary of this storied tournament and as fitting will feature many special events to mark this major tournament milestone.  As in the past PSIMedia will be there to bring you all of the excitement live and to a PC near you.  All 28 games will be streamed live on  Also game DVDs of all 28 games will be available for purchase on-site 30 minutes after each game or on-line. To commemorate the 50th there will be the 50 year All Tournament Team announced.  Also every Thursday starting in December 15 of the most memorable moments of the tournament will be released via www.PWHOOPS.COM, the official website of the tournament,

as they count down the 50 most memorable with the final five being announce on December 23rd.   There will also be a special commemorative ceremony held during the tournament, stay tuned for further details.

This year's tournament will begin on Monday, December 27th and culminate on Thursday the 30th  with the championship contest.  The tournament will play host to a field of outstanding teams packed with the area's top ranked players and teams. This year's tournament will host an outstanding lineup of teams that will include five or the area's top 10 teams ranked by the Sun-Times Mike O'Brien.  PW Hoops welcomes returning top ranked Morgan Park that will feature nationally ranked standout (15) Wayne Blackshear.  The field is rounded out by a plethora of great teams that are sure to make this a tournament to remember.
